Work in Ethiopia

We kindly ask for your understanding that we are unable to offer job opportunities in Ethiopia. Our goal is to provide as many local people as possible with job opportunities. Therefore, we currently employ around 530 dedicated staff from Ethiopia. People from other countries are only employed in exceptional cases, in specialized fields where qualified Ethiopian professionals cannot be found.

Language barriers present a further hurdle: in addition to many dialects and the main language Amharic, the languages Oromiffa, Tigrinya and Afarnya are spoken in rural Ethiopia. Only a few people from other countries are familiar with these languages and English is rarely spoken outside the capital Addis Ababa.
